This month's beauty favourites

Hey Snowflakes!
So today I thought that I would share my June Favourites and new purchases.
These products I have specifically picked out because they have been of great use within the past month.
All of the products will be listed down bellow:

No7 Cream Blush in ''Natural''
What I like about this blush is how you can use it on the cheek and also on your lips for a natural matte look. It is not oily whastover and compliments my skin tone perfectly. The packaging is really neat and compact, great for travelling. The colour ''Natural'' is a really pretty deep rose pink which just gives my cheek an enhanced flushed look but nothing too harsh. However, it is not very pigmented which: means for a more deeper look you will need to layer more product on, but I like that because it's easier to control how much of it you want to use. Yes, this does budge when my face starts to turn oily, so I make sure I add a powder blush on top which is actually a very close shade to this blush. By doing that it makes the blush stand out more and last much longer.

(Recent Purchase)
Rimmel Natural Bronzer
This is the first bronzer I've ever owned, yes I am sort of new to this part of the make-up world. I used to use a Sleek face powder which was a dark tan shade but the effecg wasn't what I wanted. So I picked this bronzer from Rimmel. What I like about this bronzer is how it gives my already tanned face a subtle glow because I can lightly conture under my cheek bones and jaw area which doesn't get a lot of sun exposer.
However, it is actually quite sheer so don't expect to get a full load of bronzer on your brush or face within the first sweep, depending on your skin tone it will take a couple of latyers.
As you might read it also says that it is ''waterproof'', I cannot compeltly agree to this because I noticed that the product disapears from my skin after a short period of time - maainly because of either sweat or oil.
Overall, it is a good bronzer. I rate it 3/5 stars.
(Recent Purchase)
Rimmel Gel Liner in Black
This is the product  I have not stopped using since I first bought it. This is also my first gel liner, I've been meaning to get this for a long long ttime so I was very excited to buy this. Before I used to only use pencil eye liners so again, I am new to this part of the make up world. But that's good right? I can give you all a fresh appraoch to gel liners. I really like how this product is easy to use, it is super creamy and super pigmented. Applying it on your eyes with the brush that's included is so easy, you could do it anywhere. I speak from personal experiences as I did my eye liner at the bus stop before school the other day.
This eye liner is also water proof and sweat proof, whenever I wear it I know I don't have to worry about my eyeliner throughtout the day because it does not smudge or disapear completly - unless my face produces a lot of oil- It lasts for a long time. But dont get scared, yes it is actually really easy to take off as well. You can use your normal eye makeup remover or even just water on a cotton pad and it will come off right away. I really like this gel liner and I do recommend.
(Recent Purchase)
Rimmel by Kate Moss Eyeshadow Pencil in Rose Gold
This is another rimmel product which I love. This eye shadow stick is the perfect eye shadow base. It is creamy, easy to blend, plus it is waterproof and lasts throughout the day. This can be used on its own as you're normal eyeshadow since the colour of it is such a beautiful rose gold colour. I feel like this shade can compliment any skin tone. It can also be used as an eyeshadow base since the consistency is creamy and your eye shadows will stick to it. This product is great for the summer! you could even use it as a brozner-highlighter,
I absolutly recommend this!

Late life update: exams and happiness

Hello

So I don't know. I just thought I'd give you guys a life update.
The past month ccrossing between May and June has been: terrifying, heartbreaking and tiring.

It's been terrifying because of all the exam stress. I definitely felt the pressure this time when the exams came. I took everything too lightly I guess and didn't realise the importance of it until I actually sat down for my history exam. I don't think I had prepared myself mentally enough because I had so many other things know my mind which got to me a lot whilst I revised. Looking back,I felt like a loser because I let some of the negativity get to me. I didn't need that stress during the most vital moments in my life. But I got through, woke up, revised , did the best I can and I guess that's all I could do. Other than mentally slapping myself and seeing how these exams are not just exams, but literally a ticket to a better life.
You have an exam the way you play games. If you practice each level over and over, you eventually pass through to the next level; maybe even win it. Same goes with an exam, if you practiced and revised over and over, even if you failed. It will be your drive, which can initially help you pass to the next level. But you only have so much time to do so before you loose all your lives during the games. Except in reality you can only do this all once. So you have to make it count.

It has been a heartbreaking month as well. So many fall outs and rekindlement. For me I've seen within my friends at school a different aura passing round. Everyone seems to be somewhat closer, talking and laughing, bringing back old memories as if they were from yesterday. It's cause we all know that we only have so little time with one another. After spending 5 years together, we're all going our separate ways again. Some of us will see each other from time to time after this semester. But others we will never see ever again. I am a little bit of a sentimental person, and it makes my heart squeeze whenever I think about how -even though my year group is somewhat chaotic at times- we've a shared similar experiences, as well as memories.
I've met so many wonderful people within the last couple of years and it had been a blessing and an adventure to have been with every single one of you. You've all taught me so many different things, and just helped me become who I am today.
Whether, you were the friend who: physically flicked me so I could snap back to reality; you were the friend who gave me tough love when I needed it; maybe you are the friend who Inspired me to become a happy person and know there's always a positive side to things, or the friend who showed me there's something to love about science and its worth taking seriously, my friends who know how to jam and enjoy during music!, and also the friend who even though you're 10,100,100000 miles away show you haven't forgotten where you came from and you're always there still no matter the physical distance.
You all have taught me some things are worth fighting for. In different circumstances. Thank you for being there for me.

Both of these things (exams and getting ready to move on has been absolutely tiring) but I guess I wouldn't choose to have it any other way. Life builds you a path because it knows you were made for it; strong enough even to live it through

Honestly it feels weird just step back and reminiscent in what has I been, what is, and what may become. The fact that I won't have to worry about exams for . another few months delights and scares me.

So here it goes. One journey ending and another one beginning. But life is just full of that. You just have to embrace it with open arms and know you can make it. Don't forget to appreciate what you have now, while you dream of what you will have in the future.

Summer breeze

I think the best part of the day during summer has to be the evening, whilst the sun is setting. I love how the sky hanged colour; It's not too bright, but nor is it too dull. I love the evenings where the sky is streaked with purple and pink, and you can just about see the moon from above.

I love staring out into the Window or standing in my garden feeling the warm summer breeze and smelling the fresh crisp scent of the oncoming night.

It feels relaxing, and soothing knowing you got through another day in life.

Embrace yourself

"If you're going to be weird, be confident about it".

I think this quote has a very deep conotation. It's true and I do agree with this quote. For me, there's no point in trying to blend in the crowd when you're such a unique being! There's no one else exactly like you so show off your uniqueness and you're weirdness.

Don't be afraid to just be you, be accepted for who you are and not a duplicate of someone else.
If you want pink hair, show it off! If you look cheesecakes, tell everyone! If you're a thrill seeker go on adventures! Things like that don't just happen on TV. They can become you're reality.
So embrace who you are weird and all! And be confident, because you will find people who are similar to you and will accept you for who you are.

Remember, you only have one chance to live in his lifetime. One of the best feelings ever is not only being accepted by other,  but accepting yourself first.

If you love you, that matters. It matters the most!.

Trying to take art seriously

I've just gotten back into the habit of drawing. I lost touch of art in the past but I feel like that side of me is coming back. Slowly, but getting there.

Hoobastank - The Reason

This song makes me feel; melancholy, sad and calm -at times when I feel hot tempered about something.

It's such a deep song. If yu've ever had an argument, breakup or a rough patch with someone - this song basically emphathises with your feelings. I listen to this whatever mood I am in, but either way it puts me in a state where I blank out and empathise with the song as well. It probably doesn't make a lot of sense, sorry Im a 'feels' type of person.

I am thankful

Right now I've been thinking "wow, girl you are lucky", but that I mean I feel blessed to be surrounded by good people who take care of Me and guide me when I am lost.
My close friends: Radha, Jennie, Riya and Tehreem , who've helped me stay positive and let me share my thoughts and feelings with each of them when I feel bothered or sad.
My Dad who is always open for a late night jamming session with the guitars and heart to heart talks. He gives me advice and stories which help Me with a problems I have, aand assures me that I always have someone to come to.
The same goes to my Momma, who let's me speak my mind about things that bother me or when I feel like I need to tell someone something but don't want to be judged. She's always there.
My little sister who's seen me laugh and cry and bawl behind the scenes. Nobody has seen me at my worst except for her. She's an angel. Always by my side to comfort me and make me smile. Thank you Sis.

If anyanyone I've mentioned reads this I just want you guys to know: I appreciate all your love and support. Even though we have our bad moments and tension, you all have helped me get through difficult times: I wish I have done the same to you as well to you when you needed someone to be by your side. This year is going to be an interesting rride. I hope I will still have each and everyone of you riding sith me. I love you all. And I hope someday you can find this :) (12:32 am - 16/3/14)

The Help

The Help is a really touching film. It has a modern portrayal of how segregation was like during the 19-20th century in America , but through he eyes of women. It is very eye opening and can get to you in such a personal way - which I think can relate and differs to everyone. The story was fluent and gripped my attention right from the start to the end of the credits. I totally recommend this movie to everyone who likes watching: historical or feminist films.

Nervous and excitement

SO, I have just come out of my first college (sixth form) Interview and honestly I feel scared and excited at the same time. This college in particular is my dream college. Even though it's quite far from my home. The people seem fairly nice and the environment is very casual and homely. When I first got there I realised that for the the first time In 6 years I am going to be surrounded in a completely mature environment and people much older than me. I am very fond over the idea of socialising with new people and being individually free. However, It scares me to think about the special things I will be leaving behind.
My amazing friends, memories both good and bad, and an everyday routine I felt comfortable with.
I feel like my life is moving so much faster now and it's a crazy thrill ride. I want to enjoy it as much as I can. But I hope I can do that by making a good decision.

Why is love...?

Love is a complex thing. It's so unpredictable. One day you hate it, one day you love it and the next you've lost it.
Why is it like that?

Review of the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser

I Absolutely love this product, hands down the best facial cleaner / everyday face wash I have used so far.
In the past I have used: clean and clear, neautrogena and clearasil for my sensitive skin and mild acne. I firmly say that the previous products that I have used were good for a period of time before I did not see any  further improvement on my skin.
I have used this Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser for more then 3 months now and I have noticed that it has reduced my break outs. It hasn't stopped my skin from breaking out, but it has controlled how frequently it happens.
Like I said I do have very sensitive skin and most products either leave my skin too dry or too oily or no visible change whatsoever. Although, I can surely say that this product is very much suitable for oily prone and sensitive skin. It is not too harsh that sensitive skin can redden or break; and it is not too weak either so that it doesn't cleanse the skin at all. It is fragrant free which is good, especially for me since I am very sensitive to fragrant products.
The consistency of the cleanser is not too thick, and leaves a very light film over the skin.
After washing with this product My skin feels very soft and dewy, unlike previous cleansers which have made my skins feel too tight and irritant.
The packaging is good: the bottle is sturdy and easy to balance on curve bathroom surfaces, it is easy to handle with wet hands, the layout of the information and company logo is very simple and not too flashy for my liking.
I recommed to people who have heavier acne problems to use this product and others from the brand Cetaphil.

Other notes
-good formula
-can be used on the body
-can be used with and without water

I hope this review has helped You. Please feel free to comment and share this post.

Changing My Ways

Hello Readers! I haven't blogged in a while but I think thats's going to change very soon.
I recently forgot how to sign into blogger *shocked face* sorry about that. But I've sorted everything out and I hope I can post more in the New Year. Now, I wanted to free my mind in this post. I feel like I'm doing things wrong.. But that I mean, I'm not being very productive with my time. I feel like there is a dozen opportunities out there and I am not grasping it too well. Laziness!. So I've been thinking a lot lately and I suppose I felt dissapointed because I've tried blogging for so many years now and I've never really aquired an audience or bond with my blogging. I usually give up after a while. SOO...
I am going to make my make blogging one of my new years resolution. Ok.. so that's a little vague?

Blogging

  • Achieve something every month i.e. aquire and audience
  • inspire someone
  • expand my skills as a writer and my my interest in fashion/creativity
  • Become more socially outgoing
You can chide about being a little far fetched but I am hopefully going to change my lazy ways in 2014 and achieve good within my blog.

So that's my little rant here done :)
Expect more poists in the upcoming weeks.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a welcoming new year!
